Our commitment
ethercam is committed to protecting your data and being transparent about how it is processed. Your streams, recordings and configuration belong to you. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for purposes other than providing the service.
Data processing
When you live stream or record on ethercam: (a) Your stream is transmitted to your own streaming server. (b) Your recordings are stored on your dedicated volume. (c) Usage metadata (date, duration, size) is retained for billing and analytics. (d) The content of your streams is private unless you explicitly mark it as public.
Storage
Your recordings are stored on a storage volume associated with your server. You control how long they are kept and when they are deleted. When you destroy your server, the associated data is deleted.
Live streaming and public rooms
If you mark a stream as public, a shareable link will be generated. Anyone with the link will be able to watch the live stream. Private streams are only accessible by you.
Your rights
You have the right to: (a) Know what data we process and why. (b) Request the deletion of your account and associated data. (c) Download or delete your recordings. (d) Receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact support@ethercam.com.
Policy updates
We will notify customers of material changes to this policy by email and notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after the changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
